Scholarships and Awards

Atlanta Alumnae Panhellenic Association Scholarship Luncheon

The AAPA Annual Scholarship Luncheon will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 10:30AM at the Dunwoody Country Club. At this annual luncheon, we award our scholarships to the winners and their families.

New Scholarships in 2010

This year, we are adding two scholarships to the previous four AAPA awards. Currently, two scholarships go to active collegians from the metro Atlanta area and two go to alums seeking higher education also from the Atlanta metro area. This year we are adding two additional scholarship to graduating seniors who plan to attend college where any of our National Panhellenic groups have chapters on campus. These girls are not required to pledge, just be enrolled at a school where NPC groups are.

Panhellenic Woman of the Year Award

At the luncheon, several other awards are also announced. The annual Panhellenic Woman of the Year Award is given to a deserving alum from a local chapter, based on her work and involvement in her group, AAPA and her community.

Outstanding Chapter of the Year

The annual Outstanding Chapter of the Year Award is also given that day to the most deserving AAPA member chapter also based on their work and a alum group.

Installation of New AAPA Officers

The AAPA incoming officers are also installed during the lunch and all past AAPA Presidents are recognized.

AAPA Sisters for Scholarship Fundraiser

Alumnae chapters all over Atlanta are encouraged to participate in the 2nd Annual Sisters for Scholars. Each chapter is being asked to strive to raise $250 to provide scholarships. Our goal is for every sorority woman to consider donating, regardless of their involvement in their sorority now. Collegians have identified scholarships as their #1 need to be successful in college and to build their collegiate chapters. Won't you please help? Consider donating to Sisters for Scholars today.
